“A Cambridge-based start-up which is developing technology to track how drugs and therapy are affecting patients, and tweak their prescriptions, has raised the first of two rounds of funding this year ahead of NHS clinical trials.
Closed Loop Medicine, which until recently was in so-called “stealth mode” where a company keeps its progress private, has raised £2.1m from venture capital firms Longwall Venture Partners, IQ Capital and Martlet in a pre-Series A funding round.
It said it would be raising further cash towards the end of the year, as it bulks up its teams for clinical trials with the NHS, which will start in the coming months.”
